Kayla Henry is a descendent of the Jirrbal tribe. She is an emerging artist and lives in Tully. Kayla is gifted in the area of Traditional art and is following in the footsteps of her beloved mother, Desley Henry, who was a well known and respected basket weaver and painter.

Kayla has enjoyed painting since she was small and loves to share her art with the public and gain recognition as a traditional artist.

Her work is represented in a number of private collections and has been included in various exhibitions including the recent “Blak Roots” at the Centre of Contemporary Art in Cairns.
